If I Were..

if i were a month, i’d be DECEMBER.

if i were a day of the week, i’d be SUNDAY.

if i were a time of day, i’d be NIGHT TIME.

if i were a sea animal, i’d be a JELLY FISH. They don't have brains. How cool is that?

if i were a direction, i’d be SOUTH. I've always been intrigued with the South.

if i were a gemstone, i’d be a RUBY.

if i were a tree, i’d be a PINE TREE.

if i were a tool, i’d be a level or a tape measure? A LEVEL.

if i were a flower, i’d be a GERBER DAISY. Mmm.. :)

if i were a kind of weather, i’d be RAIN OR SNOW.

if i were a musical instrument, i’d be an ACOUSTIC GUITAR.

if i were a color, i’d be BABY BLUE.

if i were a fruit, i’d be a RASPBERRY. And I'd be topped on some Red Mango!

if i were an element, i’d be EARTH.

if i were a food, i’d be DESSERT.. A big fattening chocolate dessert. Like Molten Lava cake or something.

if i were a place, i’d be VERONA, ITALY.

if i were a material, i’d be a SATIN.

if i were a scent, i’d be TRUE RELIGION.

if i were an object, i’d be a PAPER and PEN.

if i were a song, i’d be I WAS HERE by Lady Antebellum.. "I want to do something that matters, say something different. Something that sets the whole world on it's ear. I want to do something better with the time I've been given. I want to try and touch a few hearts in this life. Leave nothing less than something that says, I was here."

On Thanksgiving Day, a family from my home ward was involved in a serious car accident. The father and 18 year old daughter were killed and the rest in the vehicle injured.

What an incredible family. I've been so impressed with the strength of the survivors! Read their story here.

Karalee and Stuart will be greatly missed. The knowledge that a family is forever is such a blessing during these times! There is a fund set up for the family if anyone is interested. Support the Lewis Family.. Here

Oh, ya know..

..Breathe..
You will never live this moment again.
On May 22nd, my loving parents dropped me off at the SLC International Airport.. Dad with a big grin on his face as if he were to say "You go girl!" and mom with tears in her eyes. So many things going through my head. I hopped on a plane so excited to FINALLY be coming to the beautiful country of Switzerland. I have talked about coming here someday ever since I was just a little lass.. I remember getting off the plane and having the biggest grin on my face. I seriously think I giggled like a little school girl in my seat on the plane and maybe even clapped my hands a few times, not to mention I was video recording the landing.. I think the lady next to me thought I was insane. I also remember being very very confused and going over the directions sweet Mary Kay had given me, over and over again in my head. "Go down the stairs, get on a shuttle, go up the stairs and give them my passport." ... Sounds much easier than it looks! I went down the stairs, got on the shuttle, asked some man if this was the shuttle that would take me to baggage claim.. He looked at me like "Can you not hear and/or read? They just announced it in 50 languages and it had a big sign saying This Way To Baggage Claim. " .. Ya know, I just had to double check. I got off the shuttle, walked up the stairs, then back down, then back up, then back down.. "Where the devil are the people who are supposed to take my passport?" When I walked up the stairs all I saw was huge lines of people just standing around. I finally figured out, they too were waiting to have their passports stamped. ..
Ka-Ching. My first stamp on my first passport. I arrived the same day the Kaufmann's were arriving from Portugal, just 8 hours earlier. So I waited, shopped, and ate, and then, as it always seems to happen, I sat down and shortly after, realized that I was exhausted. I put my baggage on a cart, curled up over it, and I honestly don't remember much after that ha ha. Except for that I'm pretty sure I was either a) snoring or b) sleep talking because everyone was looking at me funny when I woke up.
The first time I met the Kaufmanns, I had no idea the impact they would have on my life. I didn't have a clue about a lot of things that day. To be honest, I also don't remember a ton about that day.. Jet Lag, lack of sleep. I'm a space cadet on a normal day! Deadly combination. I do however remember going to the gas station and Kenzie got some Birchermusli and said we could share it. I about gagged on the first bite but was to scared to tell them I didn't like it.. So I ate it anyways.

My return ticket was set for August 10th. On July 23rd, I changed my flight to December 2oth.

I have walked streets that I always dreamed of walking and seen things I always dreamed of seeing. I've made a fool of myself, multiple times.. Scared myself to death, and laughed myself crazy. I've met people that have loved me unconditionally, regardless of my social status, the clothes I wear, or my broken and helpless German skills. I hope I've done the same for them!

November is now coming to an end. Which means December is just around the corner. I get giddy when I think about home, but my heart is sick when I think about leaving.
Switzerland will always be a piece of me.

A little update..

Herbstmesse.. Had SUCH a blast. Happy Birthday Kate! I love you to pieces!

"I got the whole world in my hands! I got the whole wide world.. in my hands." My prize I won for knocking down milk barrels with a bean bag. Woop woop!

Bode had a little "light parade" last week with his Kindergarten class. It was so cute. They all gathered around and sang songs with their Radish Lanterns they carved.

-----------------------------------------------------

LOVE this picture.. 2 handsome little boys if you ask me!

I went to Lottomatsch (AKA Bingo) and look what I brought home. Woop woop! Big winner! Zungenwurst und Salami!

Baby Myles was blessed.. (I didn't pinch him, he was hungry!)

Me and the newly potty trained Hayden Marv!

"Your little hands wrapped around my fingers.. And it's so quiet in the world tonight. Your little eyelids flutter cause your dreaming so I tuck you in, turn on your favorite night light. To you, everything is funny. You got nothing to regret. I'd give all I can honey if you could stay like that. Oh darling don't you ever grow up, just stay this little. Oh darling don't you ever grow up, it could stay this simple. I won't let nobody hurt you, won't let no one break your heart. No one will desert you just try to never grow up." -Taylor Swift "Never Grow Up"

Life is weird. Time flies and there are so many things that you will never be able to get back. The funny thing is, I'm just realizing this. Guess I've been behind all these years.. I'm now working on enjoying the little things.

"Take pictures in your mind of your childhood room. Memorize what it sounded when your dad gets home. Remember the footsteps remember the words said and your little brothers favorite songs. I just realized everything I have is someday gonna be gone."

Xoxo Love you all!

We went and survived!

Ich Liebe Switzerland

Blessed Blog Followers.. Hello.
Life is good.
Switzerland has my heart.

I also am a bad baddd blogger.. When I first got to Switzerland, I didn't have Facebook. My blog was the only way I let people know of my 'adventures' back home. Now I have Facebook and it is much easier to simply upload a picture or 2 on FB then it is on a blogg.. So most of them are just repeat pictures. I however still put them up because I know my sweet sweet Grandma, whom I love dearly, wants to see them! So I have a new goal to blog at least once a week.. Here we go.

Baby Myles is getting SO big. Every time I look at him, I can't believe how much he's grown. All 3 of them actually, grow more and more everyday. I love those 3 boys more than I ever possibly could have imagined!
Here's the update on my life here: Last weekend, I was in Zurich with my dear friend Pascal and some of his friends where I had a blast and we partied like it was 1999.. We were dancing until 3:30 AM! I looove to dance. And then on Saturday we walked around Zurich (beauuuutiful city). I had a ton of fun. Sunday Kenzie, Mandel, Ueli and I carved pumpkins (pictures below) ..
This week was busy. It's amazing what just another little body can do to a household! We've been running around like crazy.
This weekend was Halloween weekend and last night I went to the Halloween Party here in Grindelwald at The Espresso with my friend Ueli. It was a lot of fun. VERY different from Halloween parties in America, but it was still really good! I love going out here and seeing the difference of lifestyle.

Here is a little survey bit about me.. I did one of these a while ago but I feel like doing another one.

I AM.. ever so thankful for the wonderful people that I have met here. I don't think that the friends/family I have met here realize how much they mean to me. To most people in Switz, I play a small role in their life and may one day just be "that one American girl who visited that one time" but to me, they will forever be the first people that come to my mind when I think of Switzerland (or even Europe) and this incredible experience. I however, am also very very thankful for the friends/family I have in the U.S. of A who still include me in my life there as much as possible. I love you all!

I THINK.. the wind here needs to stop. It's starting to make my head hurt.

I KNOW.. the church is true.

I WANT.. the best of both worlds.. an unlimited supply of Swiss Chocolate, and a 6 pack. Life is rough.

I HAVE.. a lot in life to be thankful for.

I MISS.. you.

I HEAR.. "Und Wenn Ein Lied" by Sohne Mannheims

I SMELL.. hairspray yummy :]

I CRY.. when I think about my 3 little boys here and leaving them! :[

I CRAVE.. Cafe Rio's Sweet Pork... MMMM :]

I SEARCH.. to figure this whole life thing out.

I WONDER.. where my life will be in 1 year. I started to think about where I was at last year, and it's crazy how life changes.

I REGRET.. nothing.

I WISH.. that it would snow!

I LOVE.. that I won at the BINGO match! Woop woop! Brought home a sausage and salami. Gotta love Switzerland!

I CARE.. about a lot of things!

I ALWAYS.. get ahead of myself. And I think too much.

I WORRY.. no, I don't worry or at least I try not to.. "Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It is already tomorrow in Australia" :]

I AM NOT.. very thrilled about the fact that I just put on my sweater and a creepy spider crawled out of it! Eww!

I REMEMEBER.. every little detail of everything. It's almost a fault.

I BELIEVE.. in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seem to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles."

I SING.. to Maroon 5 "She Will Be Loved" so loud.. That's my jam song.

I AM NOT ALWAYS.. the sharpest tool in the shed.

I ARGUE.. i don't know what i argue ha.

I WRITE.. and i lovve it.

I LOOSE.. my mind sometimes. More often than not.

I LISTEN.. to Garth Brooks and Celine Dion an awful lot lately.

I DON'T UNDERSTAND.. anything around me ha ha :].. Although I am starting to pick up on the language, here a little, there a little.

I CAN USUALLY BE FOUND.. just chillin :]

I NEED.. to clean my room. Boo!

I FORGET.. to take out my contacts before bed way too much :]

I AM HAPPY.. that's it. I am happy.

On a side note: My dear friend Jake Taylor had his mission homecoming today! First of many! Woop woop! Welcome Home Elder!

I found this and thought it was really cool:
During my second year of nursing school our professor gave us a quiz. I breezed through the questions until I read the last one: "What is the first name of the woman who cleans the school?" Surely this was a joke. I had seen the cleaning woman several times, but how would I know her name? I handed in my paper, leaving the last question blank. Before the class ended, one student asked if the last question would count toward our grade. "Absolutely," the professor said. "In your careers, you will meet many people. All are significant. They deserve your attention and care, even if all you do is smile and say hello." I've never forgotten that lesson. I also learned her name was Dorothy. ~Joann C. Jones
:] Engueta Woche! (or something close to that! ha ha)

And that's how the cookie crumbles..

Here is a little update about what has been going on in my life here in Grindelwald..
I love Autumn time. Love it. But even more when I'm so close to the mountains! So we carved pumpkins the other day.. It was a blast.. Here is me and Ueli's pumpkin :

All the pumpkins:
Mandel's to the Left
Bode's in the middle
Ueli's on the right (I would like to take credit, but let's be honest, he did most of the work ha)

Fall is in the air!
Here are so more pictures of baby Myles. This is the first time Hayden and Bode met him:

Nico and Tim meeting their cousin :)

Me and Ruedi with baby Myles.

This is me.. Being a dork on my train ride to Zurich. I was trying to video Thun lake because I just loove that lake and the view from the train/car but it didn't work out so hot. You can barely see it :) But it was worth a try right?

I found this quote and thought it was really cute: "Lovers don't finally meet somewhere, they are in eachother all along." -Maulana Jalau'ddin Rumi

Click here for my new favorite song :) .. Love it!

I am a dork and Baby Myles :)

Me and 2 of my very favorite boys heading to the forest with Mary Kay :)
Hello :).. We have good news. Baby Myles is here! Finally! He is 19.5" and I think around 7 lbs ha. 3.190kg. That's the best conversion I could do. I just love him to pieces.
Babies are miracles.

A little blurry, but it's all I have!

Bode was sooo darling with him.
Meeting their new little brother :)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ruedi took me mountain biking. For the first time ever. We didn't do anything strenuous but it was really fun. I loved it :)
Ruedi and his quirky sense of humor.

I have an obsession with waterfalls and rivers.
I about fell into the river 50 times. Those rocks are slippery. Finally I just took my shoes off and played in it! Freezing cold!

Okay, so I found this on my computer this morning and I was laughing so hard. I wrote this a long time ago. I don't even really remember writing it but it's just random facts about me.. Don't ask why. But I re-read them today and you guys, I am the biggest dork.

Thanksgiving

Bloggers.. Hello hello :) Life is good here in Switzerland. There was a market yesterday in Grindelwald, which we are glad is over. Saturday there was a country night in town, which was fun. I went with Ruedi and my favorite part was getting all dressed up like I was going to the Lehi Round-Up. Mary Kay (Kenzie's mom) arrived last Monday and on Monday the 11th, the baby will be born! A little bit busy! Luckily we now have 3 women here to hold down the fort and chase the 2 little ones around :). I recently made a trip to Belgium.. Had a blast. Here are some pictures:

Brugge, Belgium.. BEAUTIFUL city
Brugge
Me and Jelle in Brugge
Mini Europe
At the coast in Belgium

At an Abbey (old nun village) in Belgium
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The leaves on the trees are changing, fall is in the air! Fall is my favorite season, I love the feeling of getting ready for the holidays. It reminds me of Thanksgiving. I remember the days when we all fit in Grandma's living room, now we're sprawled out clear down into the basement. I know I'm early, but since Thanksgiving is an American holiday and I'm living in Europe, I'm celebrating early. Grandma and Grandpa Frost always give us 3 candy corns and before dinner we have to go around and say 3 things we are thankful for and then we can eat them..

1) The many people who I have been blessed to be blessed by -- If that makes sense?
- Family -
My Soul Sista

I am thankful for parents who sacrifice for me.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When I moved out with my friends 2 years ago, to the dear Branbury 216 (also knows as the F.R.I.C.K house -- FRost pItcher beCK - the initials of everyone who 'lived' at our apartment) our favorite saying was "you only live once". I think that was our way of justifying all the stupid things that we did, we all knew we were only going to be young once. As many times as I said that saying, I think it is just now processing and I finally am realizing that time flies by way too quickly, and you don't ever get to go back. I guess you could say I'm at the years in life where things change. Friends get married, go on missions, move away, and life just seems to go on.
"Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for awhile and leave footprints on our hearts. And we are never ever the same."
-Friends-

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2) My Savior

"One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord. Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand. Sometimes there were two sets of footprints, other times there was one only.
This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could see only one set of footprints, so I said to the Lord,
"You promised me Lord, that if I followed you, you would walk with me always. But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life there has only been one set of footprints in the sand. Why, when I needed you most, have you not been there for me?"
The Lord replied, "The years when you have seen only one set of footprints, my child, is when I carried you."
-Mary Stevenson
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3) Switzerland..
Before leaving to come to Switzerland, I was trying to figure out a lot of things in life that weren't making any sense to me. I now know and realize why. In a lot of ways, Switzerland 'saved me'. If even just 2 years ago, someone would have told me where my life would be at right now, I would have thought they were crazy. I love the life I am now living.
Clara Barton once said, "The door that nobody else will go in at always seems to swing widely for me."
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Life is an opportunity, benefit from it.
Life is beauty, admire it.
Life is a dream, realize it.
Life is a challenge, meet it.
Life is a duty, complete it.
Life is a game, play it.
Life is a promise, fulfill it.
Life is sorrow, overcome it.
Life is a song, sing it.
Life is a struggle, accept it.
Life is a tragedy, confront it.
Life is an adventure, dare it.
Life is luck, make it.
Life is too precious, do not destroy it.
Life is life, fight for it."
-Mother Teresa
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This lady is incredible. It's kind of long, but worth listening to in my opinion. Incredible story.

Until Next Time :)
